Born on Larrakia Country (Darwin), Lowana (she/they) resided for the most part in remote north west of Western Australia. Post secondary education, she spent 5 years in Liverpool, UK, where she worked in a combined cinema and creative technology art gallery.
Once returning to Australia, she settled in Naarm (Melbourne). It was here she first began to appreciate the art of live performance with her position of working as an usher in the Melbourne CBD. Through much consideration, and a last minute application, Lowana was admitted into the Victorian College of the Arts, studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production).
During her final year at the VCA, Lowana had the privilege of working with the stage management team on Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of Storm Boy, as well as the production team for Chunky Move’s ground breaking work Token Armies, in conjunction with Creature Technology Co.
Post graduation (and post covid), Lowana has steadily been working in theatre, music theatre and opera, steadily gaining experience in live production management.
Lowana's special interests are fake blood, hand made paper props, and typewriters.
She is a proud member of the MEAA union.
